Studio Brief 01 - Leeds Public Spaces
Research various events and happening in Leeds. For example, carnivals, concerts, markets, exhibitions, protests etc...
This can include previous events that have happened and has influence Leeds in some way that uses a celebratory tone.
The final outcome must be at least 1 A3 traditional print that celebrates this event. It must be a minimum of 2 colours/finishes.
This will be shown in an exhibition.

Studio Brief 02 - Product, Range and Distribution
Examine Graphic Design output reading to social, political and ethical change.
Produce a body of research that explores these concepts.
Increase your awareness of historical examples that is responsive to 21st century issues.
Make sure the medium reflects the message.
Part 1
Develop a practical, visual and contextual investigation of a specific subject. Develop a range of primary and secondary research using workshops and your own investigation.
This should be documented on the appropriate blogs and will be presented as a presentation.
Part 2
Devise and develop a body of practical work that demonstrates your ability to tap into the market potential for socially, politically and ethically driven design of your identified issues.
This output should explore the broader creative and professional context of Graphic Design but could be based around ideas of awareness or protest.
The potential outcomes of this brief could be:
- A poster series
- Booklet/publication/manifesto
- Web design/platform
- Placards, banners or badges
- Range of products/merchandise
- Materials relating to issue-based campaign
