OUGD503 - Stratford Literacy Festival Book Jacket: Designs and Initial Crit

Feedback

  • The last one looks the best - looks more minimalistic. Maybe try with the title at the top rather than the bottom.
  • Last one and I agree with the title at the top instead of bottom
  • I think the 2nd one looks the best because for some reason, the other one looks untidy.
  • Definitely the last one, it flows better.
  • I'm not keen on the overlapping on the first one and the I like the second one but try it out with the title on the top.
  • The illustrations are minimal and it should be the centre point in which the last one looks the best. The orange is slightly bold.
  • I would say the last one because the first one looks misplaced.
  • I really like the illustrations! I can see what you mean by drawing by hand to stick to the theme of it being personal like sharing stories. Last one.
From gathering the feedback, it seem like the last one works the best as it seems the most
'put-together'. I agree that the title at the top looks slightly misplaced so I will move it to the top instead. The spine of the book is orange as it references the colour of the Stratford Literacy Festival and it also ties in with the orange on Anne Hathaway's Cottage. Black would've been too obvious to use on the spine and red would be bolder and introducing a new colour would make it look overwhelming.
