- Lovely illustrations but the red eyes evoke a sense of anger which I doubt you're trying to portray through well wishes of the card.
- Not sure about the red, themes minister, maybe earthy colours work? Really like the style of illustration.
- Agree perhaps you are less threatening scheme > use different colours for each different card.
- Look at books on British Wildlife, why red? The illustrations need more texture and detail.
- With regards to the colour scheme, I believe a light blue or soft green may be most effective.
- Typography needs to be added to the designs to give their illustrations more meaning or another more subtle but effective way to to conceptualise the design needs to be identified.
- Having an animal for specific cards such as "thank you" or "get well soon" will create consistency.
- illustration need to evoke sympathy. They need to look friendly in order for people to want to do something about them/ raise awareness.
- Very nice illustrations. Maybe make the colour more random and less controlled possibly may to look like blood?
- Being more expressive of the illustrations, good idea.
- Attempt to use animals in which are friendly, and foxes are not.
- Great illustrations, maybe personalised colour to each one?
- Maybe filing could be used in order to promote class/or lino to express a grungy aesthetic.
- 'Bumblebee' - Hapbee Birthday? - Develop puns/depends what content you wish to express designs!
- probably tired of reading about the red but try a range of colours look into natural/calming colours and you arranged. Would love to see lots of animals created in the style (there some great animals in Eddie Redmayne's new film).
- It works really well with red
- maybe idea could be used only as blank cards and on the back of the card you could have statistics/fact about endangered animals. I would not want to send a happy card that an image/message which is more sad.
- Having the animal in the front and a small fact on the back about said animal. And nice hand written font would be great!!
- Perhaps collaborate with National Trust etc so that a donation can be given with card > will put into context.
- Red is a bit scary > perhaps use friendlier colours especially for birthday cards.
From the feedback given, almost everyone didn't like the red as it looked scary. The red was suppose part of an experiment but I do see that it is scary for everyday cards. The red was originally suppose to represent danger and extinction these particular animals face, that is why these animals were considered. I will try and experiment with other colours and try different animals to see which ones look more effective but still bear in mind with particular British Wildlife is in the most danger. The idea of having a fact on the back about the animal the card is about is a great idea as it makes people more aware of why this is an issue and it evokes an emotional response of the user.
