The Noun Project is a website where members of the public can use/download other designers symbols/pictograms either by downloading them as Royalty Free or Creative Commons and the designer would be credited for their work.
The pictograms on The Noun Project were was used on the TrackPoint app as it was more convenient than having to create them as it was pointless since they were free to use and has genuine Apple pictograms.
The pictograms used are the ones displayed as they were more suitable for the app than having words such as the 'settings' pictogram and the 'on/off' switch; using pictograms makes the app look more interesting and simple as using pictograms would work better in place of words since the overuse of words may be off-putting and complicated.
On the app, some of the pictograms have been coloured since it would make the the pictograms as it makes more sense such as the 'tick' in green and the 'x' in red since it represents success or failure of the status of the parcels.
If the app was to be developed commercially, royalties would have to be paid for each pictogram used and the designer/contributor would need to credited.
